The U7 motor and our old standard motors both have a jackpoint connection from the egg to the controller. Just by plugging in the U7 to the old egg you can enjoy the benefits of the U7, and if the original egg wears out, the egg can be squeezed from the shaft of the toy (using a little lube or oil) and replaced with a new egg.
